This was a brief discussion around which mobile framework to go with and why. There was also an issue around Appcelerator Registration process.

Greetings 🙂

Which is the best framework for mobile apps??

John Jardin:
For enterprise, I would recommend IBM Worklight. It comes at a bit of a price, but it’s very powerful when compared to PhoneGap or similar solutions. For smaller companies, Worklight might be too expensive. Usually the alternative is PhoneGap, but if the scope of the mobile solution is only for iOS, Android or BB10, I would definitely recommend Appcelerator Titanium.

What is your opinion on Titanium for create native apps???

John Jardin:
For native development, it’s my preferred mobile framework. Technology moves a bit too fast to invest in Objective-C and Java Languages for cross platform mobile dev. With Appcelerator, you only need to really know JavaScript. They translate the JavaScript Code into Native Code.

The problem is that I would not download Appcelerator Titanium.

John Jardin:
Ok. Why not if I may ask?

Guest:
I signed for a free user account,  but when i login as this user, it says the user is not yet activated…what would be the problem???

John Jardin:
Did you register online on Appcelerator.com?

John Jardin:
If so, maybe there’s a step that you’re missing in the Registration process. An Activation maybe? I would start online on Appcelerator.com, register, activate, etc. Then, once that’s out of the way, you can log into Titanium.
